Our Goals
The characteristics of projects we develop:
Authenticity and Specificity: Our goal is to capture and communicate characters, places, and situations in a way that feels genuine and relatable to audiences. We prioritize projects that feature diverse creatives telling stories with specificity and authenticity. We are not interested in rehashing tired tropes or clichés; instead, we seek narratives that offer unique perspectives and experiences.
Elevated Stories: We look for projects with high-concept premises that are easy to understand and pitch, yet offer a fresh and compelling take on familiar genres. Each project has a standout hook that piques audience interest.
Strong Message: We actively seek out stories that have thematic depth and resonate on a deeper level beyond mere entertainment. Projects with social impact themes are particularly welcome, as we believe in the power of storytelling to effect positive change.
Market Appetite: To validate the market appetite for our projects, we conduct thorough market research and analysis. This includes studying audience trends, genre preferences, and the success of similar projects both domestically and internationally. We also engage with industry professionals, including sales agents, distributors, and financiers, to gauge their interest and feedback on our slate. Magi understands this, and as such our marketing strategy is deeply embedded into our development process to ensure our projects have the best chance for domestic and international success.
